I am a non binary demi-masc with they/them pronoun. I believe that embodiment is one path towards restoration and liberation. The oppressive system; from patriarchy, capitalism to colonialism has uprooted and disconnected people's mind from body, self from the earth, personal from political, and individual from collective. I offer anti-oppressive, trauma sensitive and reciprocal alliance with people I work for in a relatively safe environment.
My path started in facilitation work on mental wellbeing for community organisers and human rights defenders in various rights work: from gender and sexual based violence, women, queer, labour, to land rights. It continued into centering the body as a site of wisdom, joy and resistance. I explored them through free form movement practice and dance movement therapy. Currently I am developing my dance practice in hiphop.
I work with youth and adults, with focus on community organisers, human right defenders, queer, nonbinary and trans people, people with anxiety, depression and trauma.
For me, movement involves power. Therefore, allowing ourselves to experience movement is an invitation to continuously practice our presence, compassion, and autonomy.
