Timothy Liam Brown (he/him) is a choreographer and somatic movement practitioner working on how change happens from inside a culture or a body. He trained at the Victorian College of the Arts Secondary School and the Australian Ballet School, danced with Queensland Ballet and the Australasian Dance Collective, and spent more than a decade in professional performance before his practice turned toward the somatic and therapeutic dimensions of movement.
He holds a Diploma in Dance Movement Therapy from Dance & Arts Therapy New Zealand (DTNZ) and a Master of Business in Philanthropy and Nonprofit Studies from Queensland University of Technology. For over a decade, he has been a Teaching Artist at Queensland Ballet's Community Health Institute, facilitating community classes within the company's Dance for Parkinson's and Ballet for Brain Injury programs.
Brown is Arts Manager at Access Arts — Queensland's peak arts and disability organisation — and a founding member of Arts and Disability Network Australia. His access and disability arts work spans program design, advocacy, access consultation and grant advisory. With Associate Professor Bree Hadley at QUT, he co-designed Earn from Your Art, a Creative Australia funded initiative providing paid placements for emerging artists with disability. He has served as peer assessor for Creative Australia and as Access Consultant for the Queensland Performing Arts Centre.
His choreographic work includes commissions for the Australian Ballet's Bodytorque program. In 2026, he co-founded Tîr Aho Studio, an accessibility, inclusion and equity advisory practice.
